Community's Values
The Bible
The Bible provides the what, how, and why for everything that we do at Community Baptist Church. The Bible has the answer for all of life’s questions. We are committed not only to study the Bible, but to pattern our lives after its teachings. We believe the words of the Bible are the very words of God and should be handled with the reverence and adherence that the words of God deserve.
Commitment
The members of Community Baptist Church are committed. When we read about the church in the Bible, we learn that the first-century believers were committed to their God and their church. Many of them gave sacrificially, some were abandoned by their families, and others even died for their faith. They were totally committed to God and His plan for their lives. We believe that the church is the most important entity in the world. God uses the local church to accomplish His plan in this world and we want to be totally committed to His perfect plan for our lives. At Community Baptist we want to be totally committed to God and His plan for our church.
Community
Community Baptist Church is just what it sounds like. We are a community. Although, “family” may be a better word to describe our commitment to one another. Community Baptist does not only strive to be a friendly church but a loving church that invites anyone and everyone, no matter who you are or where you have been to come and be a part of our family.
Prayer
Every believer has direct access to God on the basis of what Christ did on the cross to save us from our sin. God invites every believer to come before His throne to seek help in our time of need. At Community Baptist, we strive to take full advantage of the access we have to our God. Not only do we cast all our cares, worries and difficult circumstances on Him who promises to hear and care for us, but we take every opportunity to praise our God for who He is. From our worship service to our prayer meetings, we strive to have an attitude of prayer and an understanding of His presence in each of our lives.
